Audrey has changed so much in just three months time! She's a beauty for sure. I enjoyed my time with her very much. She's at the age I like. I'm not as nervous with her as I am with newbies!

My Treasure
My treasures don't come in the form of gold and silver but in warmth and sentiment.
This all belonged to my Grandma that passed away last year. I'm so glad she kept a journal and feeled it with nothing but good about everyone she loved, but that was just her. She never spoke ill of anyone.
The camera is a baby brownie special that was hers. It's of little value to anyone except me. There is no amount of money to make me part with it.
And finally there's this old letter I found when I was young and snooping through granny's closet. I found it in an OLD book and showed it to Granny but she didn't know who it was that it belonged to or who it was that wrote it. We read it and it was like going back in time for her and for me like something in a old movie. Did men really speak that way I asked her. Her reply " well yeah, that's how it was back then." I wish I was like Nancy Drew and could solve the mystery of who it was but I have no idea how to do that:(
Anyway I thought I'd let you go back in time with me and share my letter from mystery man with you..... I've written it just as he did and if you notice in any words even describing this woman he felt the need to capitalize the letters! (swoon)

"Another Sunday and two sweet letters from you both written since you started school.
and Honey Girl, my looking forward to the week end and your letters makes the weeks fly by
much faster. I am glad you have a nice boarding place and some quietitude comes in rather nice at
times and I for one Dear would be perfectly happy to bury myself in the remotest of jungles if I
only had just one companion.
I have a very severe head ache Dear and I fear it will be a repetition of the one I had tonight three
weeks ago.
Gee! Dear how I wish I were located within a few miles of you so that I might be able to spend these
Sunday evenings with you, now wouldn't it be nice tonight if we could take a nice long walk under
the stars or either grace someone's porch swing with our august presence, and Honey I am sure I
would get sentimental.
You just bet I am glad that guy is married and not wishing you too much bad luck dear I hope there
are not many ellegable young men in your vicinty for they might feel toward you as I do and this
other fellow Honey if he got mixed up with one girl he isn't to good to try another. So you see I am
more than glad this boy isn't one of the fresh sort and I do not believe in that rough stuff. I like to
love and kiss Dear as well as the next one but I always behave myself as a man should, I am a
respector of womanhood and far be it from me to try and lead anyone astray.

Monday morn - well my head is all better now and I had a good nights sleep and a sweet dream
about you, I dreamed we had met in Chicago and had come back west together. I can't figure
how Chicago became mixed in my dream.
Honey my letter for transfer to the 3rd Brigade field artillery is enroute thru military channels and
in effect. I half way expect to be released on probation then and will start anew in a new
regroupation, you can judge Dear that my offense isn't considered very bad when I can secure a
transfer to a top notch outfit while in the stockade but you know Honey Girl I have 11 yrs service
and excellent record all the way thru. Tis work time now Dear and I'll write some more noon time
and finish by tonight so adois for now."

Deeraya and Chris's big day! I love this couple! They were so at ease which makes it that much more enjoyable for everyone including the photographer:) Last time I photographed them it was so cold, even snowing! This time we were roasting with the sun beating down on us! It was so hot but worth it!

I've learned that newborns are a bit challenging especially because I'm used to directing others as to where and how to pose. In my head I was thinking this should be easy, right! I didn't factor in that even a 7 day old is able to move around and sometimes just won't stay asleep. He is so sweet though and already has special place in my heart just like the rest of the whalin family does.

Tiffany and Scott were so great! Hectic as weddings go this one had a laid back feel which I loved! The colors were so pretty and the reception was amazing! It was in this old theater and it still had the original theater seats and stage! Loved it!

Tiffany wedding was today so I finally get to post some from her bridal session! Bridals are the best! No stress here like at the actual wedding and you can just get better locations and no time schedule.

What to wear?
I often get the question what should my clients wear to their photosession. Basically stay away from bright bold logos and keep it simple. No need for everybody to wear the exact same color, it is nice to have a variety as well and it can be the same color family.
Here is a couple of clothing suggestions for a whole family that I put together. Clothes like these would be perfect for an outdoor summer photosession.
All family clothes are from oldnavy and gymboree.

The rules for seniors are a bit different. Since the portrait is focusing on just one individual it's great to have interesting details and accessories. Expression!
